Marching Band
The marching band is made up of all members, grades 9-12, of the Wentzville Holt High School Band. Rehearsals begin with a two week camp starting the last week of July. Once school starts rehearsals begin at 6:30 each morning and run to the end of first hour. In addition, the band rehearses from 6:00 to 8:30 every Thursday evening on the football field. All early rehearsals and Thursday evening practices run through the end of October.
The Wentzville Holt Indian Band performs at all home football games and at five to six marching festivals in the fall.

Mizzou Champion of Champions
University of Missouri, Columbia, October 29
The Wentzville Indian Marching Band finished the season with a strong performance at the University of Missouri Champion of Champions on a beautiful day in Columbia. The band finished the prelims in Second Place in the Gold Division and took home Fourth Place in a close fought Finals competition Saturday night. Once again colorguard shined, taking home a Fourth Place trophy in the preliminary competition out of 26 bands. Jolesch Photography took photos at this competition again like at BOA. Sketches of the Orient
The 2011 season is underway and this years show is titled "Sketches of the Orient". As each week passes and more of the show is on the field the band and everyone that sees it gets more excited. This is an exceptional musical and visual experience with new sounds and new looks from both the band and the colorguard. Don't miss it!

Farmington Marching Invitational
Saturday, September 17th the Wentzville Holt Indian Band competed in the Farmington Marching Invitational finishing strong with a second place in Class 5. Check out complete scores and video below.
Holt Finishes in 3rd Place at The Bi-State Marching Invitational
Potosi, Saturday, October 8th
The Wentzville Indian Band traveled to Potosi, Missouri, Saturday, October 8th, to compete in the Bi-State Marching Invitational hosted by the Potosi Trojan Marching Band. The band took second place in Class 5a/6a Prelims taking both the Outstanding Music and Outstanding Percussion awards. Picking up addition points in the finals performance gave the Indian Band at third place overall finish for the day. Way to go Indians!!
Bands of America Super Regional
Edward Jones Dome, St. Louis, October 14-15
Once again in 2011, the Wentzville Holt Band will be competing in the Bands of America Super Regional held at the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis. This is a huge competition that runs two days with pre-lims Friday and Saturday and finals Saturday night. Right now Wentzville is scheduled to perform Friday at 6:15 PM. Bands attending this competition come from as far away as Oklahoma and Minnesota and include some of the top marching band programs in the country. The nature of this event is such that there are more rules and restrictions on the bands, volunteers and spectators. Take time to read through the information below.

Music for All’s Official Videographer, Mr. Video Productions, will be recording each performance. Individual band and finals compilation DVDs, including the awards ceremony, will be made. DVDs may be ordered on-site or online at www.mrvideoonline.com.
Ste. Genevieve Marching Festival
Ste. Genevieve High School, October 22
The Indian Band came home with a fifth place at the Ste. Genevieve Marching Festival hosted by the Ste. Genevieve High School Dragons Marching Band. The colorguard finished with the second highest score of all bands for the day!!
Thursday Evening Rehearsals
Just a reminder that Thursday evening rehearsals begin the first week of school from 6:00 to 8:30 and will continue through the end of October. Any variation from this schedule due to rescheduled JV football games will be posted immediately. Parents, middle school students, and the general public are invited to sit in the stands and watch all rehearsals.
Football Games
All football games begin at 7:00 PM at Soby Field. Students should begin arriving no later than 5:30 PM when they may start checking out their uniform. Warm-up begins at 6:00 PM and the band will troupe to the field at 6:35. All band members are expected to remain for the entire game. Parents are invited to sit in the section next to the band to cheer them on!
