The marching band is made up of all members, grades 9-12, of the Wentzville Holt High School Band. Rehearsals begin with a two week camp starting the last week of July. Once school starts rehearsals begin at 6:30 each morning and run to the end of first hour. In addition, the band rehearses from 6:00 to 8:30 every Thursday evening on the football field. All early rehearsals and Thursday evening practices run through the end of October.
The Wentzville Holt Indian Band performs at all home football games and at five to six marching festivals in the fall.

This weekend is Wabash Days in Wentzville. The Wentzville Holt Band will be involved in a couple of ways this year. First the Band is operating a food booth. We will be selling Gus's Pretzels with toppings and lollipops. WE NEED WORKERS FRIDAY, SATURDAY AND SUNDAY!!! Check the Fundraisers page for all the information about helping out. The money form this fundraiser is going to general fund. We are looking at some major purchases soon as the band continues to grow. If this goes well this year we would like to make this a big deal and be a major fundraiser for the band in the future.
The Band is marching the in the parade Saturday morning. Everyone arrives at school at 10:30 AM to load buses. The parade starts from Pete's Drive-In and ended at the Wentzville Community Club. We should return to the school about 1:00.The uniform is tie-dye band shirts and khaki shorts.

Parent Shirt Orders
Each year the band members receive a band T-shirt that relates to the theme of the show for the marching season. These shirts are exclusively for the band members but the Band Boosters make available a similar T-shirt that can be purchased by parents and other family members. This is a fun way to be able to support the band. It is always fun to be able to look at the stands at the competitions and pick out all of the Holt Band fans in their matching shirts. The design for this years shirt is still not known, nor is the color but you can already order yours to assure you get one when they are available. Simply send an email to Kathy Frkovic with you sizes. The price this year will be $10.
Thursday Evening Rehearsals
Just a reminder that Thursday evening rehearsals begin the first week of school from 6:00 to 8:30 and will continue through the end of October. Any variation from this schedule due to rescheduled JV football games will be posted immediately. Parents, middle school students, and the general public are invited to sit in the stands and watch all rehearsals.
Football Games
All football games begin at 7:00 PM at Soby Field. Students should begin arriving no later than 5:30 PM when they may start checking out their uniform. Warm-up begins at 6:00 PM and the band will troupe to the field at 6:35. All band members are expected to remain for the entire game. Parents are invited to sit in the section next to the band to cheer them on!
