Holt Voted Best Marching Band in St Louis!!
The St. Louis Magazine, stlmag.com, featured an article in their March issue entitled, “Where Did You Go to High School?” From most beautiful campus to biggest sports rivalry, readers were asked to vote for their favorite school each week. Last week, the question was: Best Marching Band. Several St. Louis area schools were listed, but Wentzville Holt was not among them. So, many students, family, and friends of the Holt Band wrote in their vote for the “Other” category. Thanks to all of their support, the Wentzville Holt Indian Band was voted Best Marching Band! Fiesta!
The 2010edition of the Wentzville Holt Indian Band was superb. Our field show is entitled “Fiesta!” and has been spectacular. The show is based upon Missouri composer H. Owen Reed’s “La Fiesta Mexicana” uses portions of all three movements of the piece including “Prelude and Aztec Dance”, “Mass”, and “Carnival”. It was a group effort between the students, staff, and parents to make this season a success…thanks to all!
Mizzou Champion of Champions
Congratulations to the Holt Marching Band for their outstanding performance at the Champion of Champions Marching Festival held at the University of Missouri, Columbia this past Saturday, Oct. 30. The band tied for second in preliminary competition and had a finals placement of third overall. The color guard also placed fourth overall during preliminary competition. Way to go!!!!
Greater St. Louis Marching Band Festival
October 23, 2010
At the Greater St. Louis Marching Band Festival the Indian Band competed in the Gold Division finishing in the top half of all 48 bands that day.
Bands of America Super Regionals
October 15-16, 2010
Wentzville Holt Indian Band competed Saturday, October 15th in the Bands of America Super Regional at the Edward Jones Dome in downtown St. Louis.

Blue Springs Marching Invitational
Congratulations to the Wentzville Holt Band for finishing in 5th place overall at the Blue Springs Marching Invitational Saturday! Coming into finals in 9th place after prelims the band put in a great performance to leapfrog four bands for a well earned 5th place. You can find a complete scoresheet here.
